Mid-Year Exam Clearance Notice

Critical Exam Logistics

10:00 Start Time

The mid-year exam officially commences at exactly 10:00. Please ensure you are seated and fully prepared beforehand.

2-Hour Duration

The examination paper is strictly timed for a 2-hour duration. Once the allocated time has elapsed, no further writing will be permitted.

Arrival Instructions

Arrive at your campus at least 30 minutes before the 10:00 start time. Latecomers risk being denied entry into the exam hall.

Clearance Eligibility

Who May Write

  • Students who are fully financially cleared
  • Students with an officially approved appeal
  • Students presenting valid proof of payment on exam day

Who May Not Write

  • Students with outstanding balances
  • Students whose appeals were denied
  • Students presenting invalid or unverified documentation

PROCESS OVERVIEW

Status Checks &
Appeals

Ensure your financial clearance is confirmed well before exam day. If your clearance status indicates an issue you believe is an administrative error, you must follow the official appeals process immediately.

Valid Reasons

  • Bank transfer processing delays beyond your control
  • Bursary payment confirmation pending or delayed
  • Institute system errors in capturing your payment

Invalid Reasons

  • Forgot to make payment by the official deadline
  • Currently awaiting future salary, wages, or allowances
  • Personal financial difficulty or constraints

Strict Appeals Deadline: If your reason is valid, you must submit your documentation via the official appeals form immediately. Late submissions will not be reviewed.

EXAM DAY PROCEDURE

Saturday Payment
Verification

If you made a late payment and were cleared conditionally, you must present undeniable proof of payment to the invigilator before being seated. Failure to provide valid documentation will result in immediate disqualification from the exam.

Report to the Invigilator
Arrive at your exam venue at least 30 minutes early and proceed directly to the invigilator's desk.

Provide Official Proof of Payment
Present a printed bank receipt or a downloaded official PDF on your device. SMS notifications or screenshots are strictly NOT accepted.

Reference Cross-Check
The invigilator will cross-reference your payment details and reference number against the campus clearance log.

Final Seating Clearance
Only upon successful verification will you be cleared and directed to your designated seat to write the exam.

SECONDARY OPTION

Supplementary Exams

If you are unable to write the main exam on 20 June 2026, the Edu-Build Institute provides a secondary exam date to ensure you have the opportunity to complete your mid-year assessments.

5 July 2026 Session Details

The supplementary exam is designed for students who cannot write on the primary date. Please carefully review the eligibility criteria and logistical details below to ensure you are prepared:

  • Scheduled Date: Sunday, 5 July 2026.
  • Who Qualifies: Students who missed the 20 June main exam due to absence, illness, or lacking financial clearance in time.
  • Duration & Format: 2-hour written paper, exactly mirroring the main exam structure.
  • Registration: You must proactively contact your campus office to confirm your placement on the supplementary roster.

R250 Rewrite Fee

A strictly enforced R250 rewrite fee applies to all students opting for the supplementary exam on 5 July 2026.

Payment must be verified prior to entry into the examination venue. No late payments, partial payments, or exceptions will be made.
